It's no secret that Mel is my absolute favourite author of all times and recently I got The Legacy trilogy posted to me and it was SIGNED! I nearly died. Not like when I got a signed copy of Rainfall of course which made my entire life a happy one (I still owe you a tattoo Mel!) and because I feel like the luckiest girl alive owning a set I managed to convinced her to donate a set of the Legacy trilogy for one of you as well...

I saved a recipe weeks ago for a brownie in a cup and this afternoon Fysh and I gave it ago and mmm it's yum! Dairy free and egg free so safe for vegans! Ingredients: 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa 2 tablespoons olive oil 3 tablespoons water mix it together really well in a mug, stick it in the microwave for 1 minute and 40 seconds and voila! you have a brownie in a mug. Enjoy and don't blame me for the weight gain ;) ...

So we'd finally decided on a school for Fysh but of course as things would have it finances aren't quite up to scratch and I can't afford the school fees so we've had to resort to public school. Which by the way is not as easy to access as you think. We went this morning quickly to go and get registration forms. The lady promptly pointed at a pile larger than the other "This is our rejection pile. Our rejection rate is very high so you might want to apply to...

When Lisa Richards’ parents died, she never thought her life would change as drastically as it did. Now she has to take over her father’s seat on a secret supernatural council, lead troops into battle against the ferocious Goblin Lord, and try not to get herself killed in the process. To make matters worse, Lisa thinks she may be falling in love with the socialite werewolf who was supposed to protect her. Whoever said growing up was easy, clearly didn’t have to save the world every other week. Another local author...

I was invited to the launch of Rain Africa's new fragrances - Leaf, Twig and Nectar - the nectar by far winning my as my favourite, it's soft and beautiful and reminds me of spring in Germany. We all met up at Charlies Bakery and had no idea what our destination was, this apparently was a secret and we'd get clues along the way to help us guess where we were going. This chop right here though guessed it at the first clue, we hadn't even gone over sir...

I had the pleasure of meeting Jess at a media launch a few years back and I'm so glad we've stayed in touch, she's an amazing person to follow and despite the hiccups and things thrown at her she always manages to get back up. A wonderful and strong lady am glad to say I know x When were you diagnosed? I have been diagnosed numerous times over the years by many doctors, but my last diagnoses was in 2013 after landing in hospital after an extreme panic attack that...

Thanks to social media I met an amazing woman years ago, sadly she lives on the other side of the country and somehow we've just never been able to meet up but today it happened! Today I finally got to meet the wonderful person behind The Blessed Barrenness and she's as awesome in person as she is online. More so actually! And guess what? No awkward moments haha. Sad I'm missing out on ladies night with her and all the other bloggers tonight but in the same sense...

I don't know if you know this yet but Canal Walk it's up to it's usual holiday tricks and has fun for the kids in the centre court again, for the boys there's a Nerf Blasters section where they get to pick out their own Nerf Blasters and try shoot at targets in a zombie and for the girls there's a My Little Pony stand where they can colour in, get fake tattoos, make bracelets and dress up ponies. Of course if you're raising a Brony like I...

I attended my first wedding in a very long time as nothing more than an attendee. I honestly can't remember the last time that has happened, I usually go as a photographer or bridesmaid so this was really nice, I got to show up and just enjoy other peoples company (well kinda, once the rum kicked in) instead of running around making sure everything is in order and I'm getting all the right shots. It was a dress up wedding, honky tonk/1930's so everyone came donning their cowboy hats,...

I met Lizanne from clayjarpeople (and here) years ago on twitter and she's great, for the first time this year though I got to meet her in person and she's even better, she totes get's the awkwardness and doesn't make you keep up conversation if you don't want to. I'm glad I got to properly meet her before they relocated to New Zealand though the move has meant I got an awesome parcel from across the waters haha. Here's her story, share the love, leave a comment and be supportive <3 What...
