DAY THREE > GreenLydia

So there’s this chick I know who stalked me on twitter and forced me to be her friend. No I’m kidding, it was probably the other way around haha but am so glad I’ve had the opportunity to meet her and that I get to call her a friend. I also get to brag that I wrote a book with her!

Lucky for you this friend is one of the most generous people you know, a talented artist and writer, a traveler and best of all… she works in wine! Yup, WINE! She eats, sleeps, drinks and works wine. And she’s brilliant at what she does. She BTW even arranged an entire event just so I could tick grape stomping/swimming off my bucket list.

Okay so it wasn’t just for me but I like to pretend it was.

Right, the good part > GreenLydia is giving one of YOU some wine just because she feels like it. And not just one bottle… SIX BOTTLES OF WINE! She’s not telling me what wine, just that it’s mixed but I’ve had a delivery from her before (for art purposes) and she only works with the best so don’t worry it won’t be doos wyn ;) But then again, even if it is… FREE WINE!

Also… apparently this one is open world wide! She’ll deliver anywhere!

  1. I enjoyed learning that GreenLydia is from the northern suburbs of CT, my current abode. :) Her blog post echoing that pictures are worth a thousand words was a simple reminder to keep some things just for us as a individuals, a couple and a family as we have been trying to do.

I was also reminded not to get so cut up on taking the perfect picture that l don’t take one at all. I don’t recall memories off the top of my head, visuals help bring things back in slow, sweet motion.

  2. I love the Green Lydia blog! My favourite is: A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS.
    And now… I want a Polaroid camera!

  3. No favourite (yet) as I’ve only just found her (I know; have I been living under a rock?!)

  4. Okay I’m a big craft beer fan… and a wine fan… and a travel fan so there is a lot to pick from.

My favourite though was probably the book you wrote together. 😉

  5. I must day I loved the book collaboration but in terms of stories I like the one about Polaroid pictures

  6. Wow…all of her travelling post’s are excellent….really makes me feel like I am there too ;) But if I had to choose a favourite, I would say that it would be the “TINY TOWNS – STILFONTEIN” blog post which is very well written. Seriously, you should be writing for Getaway Magazine?!?

  7. Dude! Wine! I need to win this. I’ve been a follower of Lydia’s blog for a while now. I tried to go into her website to copy the link to my favorite post but for some reason I keep getting a “webpage is not available”error message”. But I did love her post title The Average Traveler.

  8. Tannie Rina’s Malva Pudding was my favourite because I made it and it was delicious… And now I feel like some right now

  9. I loved the Tannie Rina story. Not a lot of Jo’burgers are very neighbourly, myself included. This was kinda nice, the idea of baking with a neighbour. The Green Lydia blog is pretty awesome. I’ve even subscribed!

      1. Heck yes! Just based on her love of wine and taste in music GreenLydia is now definitely on my subscription list. Thank you for the hook up 😁

  10. Have immediately added her to my reader! Love her work. And as I am so passionate about photos the story of the Polaroid camera (A picture is worth a thousand words) is wonderful!

  11. I love Green Lydia’s blog, I am always reading her reviews on awesome places to go and things to do!

  12. her travels love the article about STEAM TRAIN RIDES IN SOUTH AFRICA
