A little less wise

In December I shattered a wisdom tooth somehow, the second one (broke the other one about two years ago but it never gave me hassle) but this one has been hell as it left a nerve exposed. At first I thought it was just earache so it took me a week and a half before I realised it was actually my tooth and headed to the dentist.
Private dentists are really costly and I simply didn’t have the finances so I went to our clinic to make an appointment. The dental hygienist was amazing, you’ll remember she did Fysh’s teeth.

The only problem with NHS is the long wait. I went in 6 weeks ago to make the appointment and today after what felt a hell of a lot longer than 6 weeks I went in. I was under the impression that I’d have both removed today but the dentist said no and only took out the one causing the immense pain and made an appointment for me to come back next month for the other.

I was scared AF but actually the procedure was pretty quick. She slathered on numbing gel then injected the bottom which twinged but was alright. The most painful part was the injection to the palet. But after that everything is so numb you can’t feel shit. Will admit though that may thinking about the sound of it being taken out gives me the creepy crawlies.
My face feels lopsided and my throat is sore but other than that I’m actually fine. Tweeple say that tomorrow it’ll knock me but at least I have decent pain meds and I did all my work the past two days so I am able to take the weekend off.

So now I’m a little less wise than I was before… But a lot happier albeit a little miffed they wouldn’t let me keep my tooth though.

I hope it heals nicely, and doesn’t give you too much pain tomorrow!

I managed to break a molar (the one next to the wisdom tooth)… I’m so scared, I’ve been delaying making the appointment for almost three months!

Ouch!!! But go get it out. It really isn’t as bad or scary as I thought it was going to be and to be honest other than what feels like a bruised jaw I’m perfectly fine. Couldn’t talk till the anesthetic wore off and throat was a bit tender as you have to swallow the blood but yeah. Other than that all good.
